Innocente Seraphim is pleased to announce Kumiko Uehara, Chief Fashion Designer of Baby, The Stars Shine Bright will be a Guest of Honor at Innocente Seraphim 2009.

Miss Kumiko Uehara dreamed of becoming a fashion designer as a child. When she was a teen-ager, she discovered the world of lolita fashion. In 1999 she graduated from Bunka Women's University and started her own clothing brand. In 2000, Miss Uehara was recruited by BABY as a designer of dresses, purses and umbrellas. Her masterpiece dresses include the "Elizabeth", the "Cinderella" and the "Yukinonamidahime". In 2009, she was recognized and invited as the designer of BABY to the Japan Pop Cultural Festival. Attendees of InnoSera will have an opportunity to attend a fashion show featuring Baby, The Stars Shine Bright on Saturday, August 8th and meet Miss Uehara in person at her Q&A panel on Sunday, August 9th. Attendees will have an opportunity to buy BABY fashions and accessories at InnoSera.

Baby, The Stars Shine Bright is the lolita fashion house created in 1988 by Akinori Isobe and his wife, Fumiyo. Featured in the film, Kamikaze Girls, Baby, The Stars Shine Bright specializes in Sweet Lolita and has another fashion line called Alice and the Pirates. Baby, The Stars Shine Bright opened their first international retail store outside of Japan in Paris, France and is planning to open their first American retail store in San Francisco, California on August 14, 2009. Innocente Seraphim Convention is pleased to announce Ms. Cholong of ElfDoll U.S.A. and PasuLau of Doll Heart will attend InnoSera as BJD Guests of Honor. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Ms. Cholong and PasuLau at several events and have the opportunity to buy items from their companies.

ElfDoll, Inc. was created by the talented Korean sculptor Rainman in 2004. Elfdoll’s beautiful and unique ball-jointed dolls are coveted by collectors of all ages. Ms. Cholong met Rainman in 2004 and became the US representative of ElfDoll. Ms. Cholong has shared her passion and knowledge of ball-jointed dolls with many collectors at events and on internet groups and forums. We are very happy that she will attend InnoSera so everyone will have the chance to meet her in person!

PasuLau is the gifted and talented designer of Doll Heart. Doll Heart was established in 2003 by a collective of artists skilled in fashion design, tailoring, and accessory craftsmanship. Doll Heart specializes in beautiful doll outfits from head to toe and specialty doll items with extraordinary attention to detail. We are very excited that we’ll have the opportunity to meet PasuLau and see his wonderful designs and doll items at InnoSera!

Kissing Violet is Elia Saldaña and David Vaughn. Elia Saldaña sings lead vocals and David Vaughn is the keyboard player, main lyricist and producer. They’ll perform a live concert at Innocente Seraphim on Friday, August 7, in the Grand Ballroom at the Westin Bellevue. Attendees of InnoSera will have a ticket to the concert as part of their attendee package if they pre-register for the convention before July 18, 2009.

Both David and Elia love to perform on stage. They are joined by several talented musicians when they play in concert. Kissing Violet features a signature melded keyboard and guitar combination, coupled with beautifully distinctive vocal character and melody. The band takes various instruments, moods and sounds into the vision for each of their songs. Critics call their music beautiful edgy pop, with a very sharp edge.

In 2008, that sharp edge was featured when TokyoPop chose Kissing Violet’s song “Feel the Disease” as the opening for TokyoPop’s new imanga Bizenghast. more...
